I just came across the wonderful story of the extraordinary success that Ladybird book parodies are enjoying. It’s written by Roger Tagholm and includes some delightful cover art. The story, though, is convoluted and shot through with emotion. I loved Ladybird books and still have some old copies. And I always aspired to draw like their illustrators. But I never did.
